The Labour Foundation of the Construction, following its policy of continuous improvement, has enabled some new facilities for practical training in prevention of occupational hazards, energy efficiency and innovation, on Avenida de Mendavia, 34 - B of Logroño, La Rioja.
On a plot of 3056.60 m2, donated by the city of Logroño, facilities, known generically as CENTER OF PREVENTIVE PRACTICES, are distributed in an operating center (two classrooms, toilets, room facilities, storage and dispatch) three structures of buildings (two concrete and metal), an area confined space, an area of ??trenches (aimed at shoring operations), dressing rooms, storage, electrical installation towers, etc.
The facilities are designed to minimize to the maximum any kind of energy (geothermal, solar, etc.), and CO2 emissions, having achieved the Certificate of Energy Rating "B", in Energy Consumption kW h / m2 year (167), and CO2 emissions Kg / m2 year (42). The generation and consumption of energy we can verify at all times through a control system by which the radiation (direct, global and diffuse) is measured, the moisture of each of the rooms, ambient temperature and each stay, drinking water, heat and electricity saved, power consumption, and weather conditions (wind speed and direction, temperature), etc.
At the Center for Preventive Practices theoretical and practical training is given on prevention of occupational hazards in the construction and related sectors (metal, electrical contractors, building maintenance, etc.) and training related to energy efficiency sector.
The operations center also serves to coordinate and develop the activities the Construction Labour Foundation leads in innovation together with companies, workers, professionals, institutions, etc. for efficient progress of the construction sector in line with other sectors and society in general.
Any business, worker or restless and curious who want to visit these facilities can contact us and we will show them who is doing the Construction Labour Foundation for trying to improve the construction sector.
